How We Handle Photos
The photos you share are used for one purpose only: creating your child's illustrated character. They are processed by industry-leading AI providers with strict safety standards.
Once your character illustration has been created, your photos are permanently deleted from our systems. They are never shared publicly, never shown to other users, and never used for any other purpose.
Content Safety
Every story is designed to be age-appropriate, positive, and uplifting. Our AI systems are tuned to generate content that celebrates kindness, curiosity, and imagination.
Before any book goes to print, the PennaStory team reviews it to ensure quality and appropriateness. You also have the opportunity to review your book and request changes before it is printed.
Data Protection
- All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest
- Stored on secure cloud infrastructure with strict access controls
- Access restricted to essential personnel only
- We never sell your data to anyone
Parental Control
Only parents and guardians can create PennaStory accounts. You are always in control of the process:
- You choose the story theme and details
- You review and approve your book before it goes to print
- You can request deletion of all your data at any time

We use AI services from Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic — industry leaders with robust safety measures, content policies, and child safety protections built into their platforms.
